April 2009

Well, I have left good ol Opelousa, LA. I must say that I met the nicest people ever. I mean everywhere I went. They have a very unique culture and accent. It was a very interesting place to experience.  My assignment was for only 8 weeks and I had to stay in a motel the entire time. So..I had to live on fast food. Ugh. I thought if I ever looked at another hamburger I would die. Even the salads got bad.

I am back in Indianapolis visiting with my son and granddaughter. Gonna weed through all of my packed  boxes and decide if I am going to wait on a new assignment or head back to Seattle and look for permanent work. Pickens are slim now with the economy the way it is. Here are some pictures from Indy with my family.

Well..I have left Atlanta, and as you travelers know, I am waiting on my next assignment. I had a difficult time saying good byes to the St Joseph’s EP lab. What a great crew. I wanted to stay! Going back to Indianapolis for a visit with my family. Drove with my RV in tow to a park in Indy, and had a one week rest at a KOA  until time to move on to my next assignment, which will be Greenville, South Carolina!! Looking forward to seeing an area I have never visited. It is not such a bad drive, back down to Atlanta and up to Greenville. You don’t really think I am gonna drag this big monster through the Smoky Mountains do you!

Sights along the way. My son and I left Tacoma, Washington to travel to Indianapolis, Indiana. We drove for three days, going through Oregon, across Idaho and Wyoming and into Nebraska and on to Indiana. We had my RV packed to the gills with all of his stuff and of course the stuff I needed for my travels. We had our two pets, my dog Riley who was now 12 and Suri the cat who was 12. We had a great trip and arrived in Indiana the first week of Sept.  I dropped him off and continued on to Petosky, Michigan for my first travel assignment in 3 years.
